Dr. Chris Hutson was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Washington University in 1989 with a B.S. in Business Administration and entered the United States Army as an Infantry Officer. He spent 4 four years on active duty in Germany with one combat tour in Desert Storm. He left active service to pursue post-graduate studies and microbiology research at Northern Illinois University. Dr. Hutson started his medical training in 1995 at Uniformed Services University. He graduated in 1999 and interned at Walter Reed. Dr Hutson is a 2004 graduate and former Chief Resident of the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium Anesthesiology Residency. He is a member of the Triservice Anesthesia Research Group Initiative on TIVA (TARGIT).
