Continuing Education Information

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Medical School (UTHSCSA) and the TRUE Research Foundation.  UTHSCSA is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  

UTHSCSA designates this educational activity for a maximum of 14.25

category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. 

Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, School of Nursing, is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. 

This activity meets Type I criteria for mandatory continuing education requirements toward relicensure as established by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas. 

This education program offers up to 17.1 nursing contact hours.

All attendees wanting to obtain Continuing Education credit can pre-pay with their on-line registration or pay on site during registration hours.  There is an additional $20 fee for CEU credit.

When the course is completed, all attendees requesting CEU credit must complete the UT Health Science Center EVALUATION QUESTIONAIRE and a STATEMENT OF ATTENDANCE form.  These forms are located at the end of the program book.

Please return the completed forms to the registration area at the conclusion of the conference on March 10 between 4-5pm .  If you  forget to submit the forms  at the conference,  please fax evaluation forms to 210-829-5513, Attention: Cleo Garcia.
