12/2/2005 - Combat Extremity Courses.
Visit the registration booth to sign up for the Combat Extremity Courses.
The basic War Extremity Course will be Thursday, 12/15 0700-0900 and is limited to 60 people.
The Advanced War Extremity Course will be Saturday, 12/17 0800-1600 and is limited to 40 people. Please register at the booth early, the courses fill up fast.

To provide a forum for the interchange of medical knowledge as it relates to the practice of orthopaedic surgery in the military.

Each member of SOMOS must be or must have been an orthopaedic surgeon or resident orthopaedic surgeon of the Armed Forces. This includes active duty, retired, and honorably discharged members of all services.

Duties of members:

• Each member must at all times remain a member in good standing of SOMOS.
• Each Active and Allied Member must pay dues and assessments which may be levied by SOMOS. A member is not in good standing if he/she is delinquent in payment of dues.
• Each member must at all times conduct himself in accordance with the principles and medical ethics as adopted by the American Medical Association.

SOMOS shall hold at least one general meeting each year. This meeting shall be primarily of a scientific nature.

The scientific meeting provides a forum for presentation of research papers in a collegial setting, wherin SOMOS members may seek critical and constructive analysis of their observations, conclusions, and recommendations.

The annual meeting also provides numerous opportunities for SOMOS members to meet in an informal setting to establish or renew acquaintances, share recent experiences, and solve common problems.
