Objectives:

The Vascular Conference is an annual meeting designed to have all military and civilian Vascular surgeons in attendance. Educational and cases discussions occur over the seminar period with specific technology briefs, and therapeutic updates as seen in the agendas from previous events on the SMVS website. (http://www.trueresearch.org/smvs/) The intention is that the society can standardize good medical & surgical practices within the Department of Defense. Overall objectives:
  • Identify the role of lipid disorders on atherosclerotic burden.
  • Describe modern methods to control Hyperlipidemia.
  • Formulate a plan for the common lipid abnormalities seen in vascular surgical practice.
  • Identify specific agents that can achieve optimal lipid control.
