Background:
The Navy Refractive Surgery Program has held three Navy-wide refractive surgery
meetings where our latest scientific studies and updates from each refractive surgery
center were shared. Business plans, Navy policy, and future goals were also discussed
with all the key Navy ophthalmologists present. Refractive surgery leaders from
the Air Force and Army attended the most recent meeting, held in San Diego in January,
2006, and it was evident that the military refractive surgery program could only
benefit from shared knowledge and experience.
Goals for 2007 International Refractive Symposium

Present the results of the most recent scientific research being done at military
refractive surgery centers.
